Video: Salisbury City vs Weston Super Mare
The Whites and Weston Super Mare met for the third time this season after the spoils had been shared in their previous league and cup encounters.
The main talking point from today’s game was an injury to James McCaffery, one of the Assistant Referees, which lead to an announcement for anyone qualified in the ground to assist for the remainder of the game. A chorus of ‘LOUIE’ rang out from the terraces and Louie Hancock stepped up to the mark and completed the final two thirds of the match without putting a foot wrong.
The game lacked attacking threat, with the one real shot of quality coming from man of the match Stu Sinclair after 5 minutes. There were a couple of other close calls, but the game ended in a 0-0 draw.
Highlights are below and are followed by interviews with Mikey Harris and Louie Hancock.
