Match Preview: Hednesford Town (A)

After their confident FA Cup performance on Tuesday, The Whites make the long trip up to Hednesford Town this weekend.

Salisbury are currently 5th in the Zamaretto League, though they do have a game in hand over three of the four teams above them.

Hednesford, nicknamed ‘The Pitmen’ occupy 9th spot. Despite three wins on the road this season, they are yet to take all three points at home in the league.

Knocked out of the FA Cup at the first qualifying round, and with no win in their last four, Hednesford Manager Bernard McNally will be looking for a response from his side.

Whites Manager Darrell Clarke welcomes Jake Reid into his squad for the first time since his signing on Tuesday. He does have several injury doubts ahead of the trip, but despite this, is pleased with the options available to him. “There’s good competition for places in the team at the moment, which can only be a good thing. All the boys are looking sharp in training.”

The Whites travel in hopes of maintaining their unbeaten record this season, but Clarke knows it will not be an easy match. “They had a good season last year making the play-off semi finals and this will be a difficult game, but it’s one we’re looking forward to.”

Hednesford play at Keys Park- postcode: WS12 2DZ

For those of you not making the trip, don’t forget to keep an eye on the club’s official Twitter page for live updates.
